In Memoriam
Remembering Leslie Correll
A longtime resident of Lower Rockridge and one of the original members of the UBA Steering Committee.
July 31, 2025
The Upper Broadway Advocates’ Steering Committee informs you, with great sorrow, that Leslie Correll — a longtime resident of Lower Rockridge and one of the original members of the UBA Steering Committee — has passed away.
Leslie gave generously of her time, knowledge, and heart to our neighborhood. She was a steadfast voice for thoughtful development, for the arts, and for the trees and historic places that make Rockridge what it is. We will miss her deeply.
In September 2025, Leslie was remembered in the Rockridge News (“Eyes on Rockridge”). Below are tributes shared by her friends and neighbors, including a pencil drawing, Aurora Borealis (1948), by Leslie’s father, the artist Richard V. Correll.
